i personally dont like the idea of organised networking..you know, networking sessions, because i feel that its too transactionary in a sense? Like both parties are conscious that the only reason why they're talking is the sole purpose of network. Some would call it good business sense, you know the whole "i scratch ur back, u scratch mine" thing, but i personally find it kind of artificial.. i rank it up there along with social niceties, small talk, telling your boss he looks nice with his new haircut..etc etc. Then again, maybe thats why I'm not cut out for business? It's all relative I guess. I do think that networking can definitely bring benefits, but i dont like "mindless networking" if there's such a thing.
How much do you value social networking? Do you network?
It is perfectly fine to widen your social circle. You never know who you need in time to come. But do it in insincerity
Reply:No. Social networking might bring me more misfortune.
Reply:I do it but not enough. its very inportant to your selfateem, and feel closeness to your friends.
