Social networking sites, and how many profiles is too much?

Basically what are your opinions on the following?


Myspace, Orkut, Facebook, Multiply...


There are many more as you may know already, and is it acceptable to be on most of them?


I am thinking of creating a profile but I cannot decide which site is better.

I have a couple because not all of my friends use the same one ... it is completely acceptable to have accounts on more than one of these sites ...
Reply:All information you would not like others to know about your or that can be used against you are often adviced to be be shared on the social networking sites. For example information you would not want strangers to know about you should not be shared... You are to treat everyone on the social network site as strangers atleast until you get to know them and even when you get to know them you have to be cautious with your information because the guy on the other end may not be as honest as you are about there identity.





However, I must add that social site have been know to record great success with some people but nevertheless you don't leave a burning fire on your roof top and go on to bed...





Myspace is a good one but you may have to surf a little on the other sites to decise what you really want and which meets your need.

Reply:What someone else would find proper for you might not be what you want; I suggest create a profile on each of the sites and check out the features and the community; your experience will guide you best to find what networking site you belong in.
